Stefan Aeby Trio - Are You...? (2010)

多数の企画グループ掛け持ちで活躍しているスイスのピアニスト:Stefan Aeby(1979〜)の、トリオ(2002年結成)による自作曲中心の一編。清流の如きクリーンな涼気や潤い、透明感を湛え、同時に、固い角張りや濃い陰影味も匂わせる、中々表情豊かで端正なクリアー・タッチによる、デリケートな耽美性と力強いダイナミズムを併せ持った、「根は詩情派」のヨーロピアンらしい機動的メランコリック・プレイ、が瑞々しい映えを見せた好内容。ヨーロッパ耽美系リリカル派の一典型らしい、即ち、内省的な心象スケッチ風の曲想や、陶酔的・耽溺的な夢幻ムードが頻出しつつの、インタープレイ色にも富んだ緩急あるスリリングかつクール・エレガントな抒情指向のメロディアス奏演、が流麗に紡がれてゆき、Aebyの、繊細典雅でいてしっかり旨味もある活躍が快調。甘さをやや抑えてダークな瞑想世界へ深く入り込んでゆくような、妖気孕むミステリアスめのヒンヤリしたアンニュイ・フレージング、に欧州文芸アート派ならではの研ぎ澄まされた気概を感じさせる反面、モード、バップ、ブルースのイディオムをキッチリ活用したスインギー・アクションや、ゴスペル・フォーキーな牧歌性を単純明快に表出したノリノリのグルーヴ熱演、などのストレートアヘッド傾向アプローチにも確固たる芯があり、説得力は充分。
